It’s been a crazy week when it comes to Pixel leaks, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Today we saw the leak of a promotional video for the Pixel 9 family, as well as official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, and now we’ve seen the leak of all the color variants the “vanilla” Pixel 9 will be available in.
This follows a similar leak yesterday that showed off all the Pixel 9 Pro colours, meaning the Pixel 9 will arrive in Obsidian, Porcelain, Rose and Green.
As you can see here, and from several other leaks, Google is redesigning the camera island this year: it’s now oval-shaped and doesn’t reach all the way to the frame.
Other than that, the Pixel 9 only has two cameras on the back, just like the Pixel 8. The third telephoto camera is exclusive to the Pro series.
The Pixel 9 is expected to feature a matte frame and a glossy back, and if previous rumors are to be believed, it will come with an increased RAM of 12GB and be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 SoC, which is said to have a significantly improved modem that should improve connectivity over past Tensor generations.
The Pixel 9 is said to have a 6.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10.5MP selfie camera. It is expected to be unveiled on August 13 alongside the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
