Vision Partners It is said to be on the verge of raising more than $10 billion in capital commitments for its 13th fund, According to the Financial Times.
The Financial Times reports that two companies from Insight’s portfolio were acquired last week. One, threat intelligence firm Recorded Future, was sold to Mastercard for $1.5 billion. $2.65 billionInsight Partners was wholly owned, acquiring the company in 2019 for $780 million.
The other company, Own, a startup specializing in data backup tools for cloud-based applications, was sold to Salesforce for $1.9 billion, roughly half the $3.5 billion valuation investors assigned it in 2021.
The Financial Times says Insight, which is headquartered in New York and whose current portfolio includes cybersecurity powerhouse Waze, could eventually close its new fund at around $12 billion. That’s a big number, but still far short of the $20 billion Insight announced for its 12th fund in 2022, when fundraising was at its peak across the venture capital industry.
