LG UltraGear OLED monitors feature two button-switchable resolution modes
LG has announced an early lineup of new OLED monitors.
The just-announced UltraGear monitor, commonly known as “32GS95UE” marks the company’s first design featuring innovative “Dual Hz” functionality. According to the official announcement, this monitor will support two different resolutions and refresh rates: 4K resolution (3840×2160) at 240Hz and Full HD (1920×1080) resolution at 480Hz. This monitor can easily switch between these modes.
The monitor has special hotkeys that allow gamers to apply new optimal combinations of resolution and refresh rate depending on the title they’re playing. LG recommends the 1080p 480Hz mode if you want to play fast-paced shooters or story-heavy games on his 4K 240Hz.
LG chose OLED technology for this unique monitor, which boasts a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03ms. According to the specifications, DCI-P3 has a color gamut coverage of 98.5% and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. In particular, this 32-inch monitor strikes the perfect balance for a 4K display, considering its pixel density.
Additionally, this monitor is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and compatible with both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port.
In addition to the flagship monitor, LG will introduce five other models equipped with OLED panels and supporting resolutions of up to 3440×1440 or 2560×1440 depending on aspect ratio. Detailed specifications for these models are listed below.
